Why are McLaren always so pathetically arrogant about things that are irrelevant?

McLaren is aiming to leave this weekend's Abu Dhabi Grand Prix as "winner of the second half of the season," according to team principal Martin Whitmarsh. They are lucky to be in F1 considering their cheating ways.

  1. Well, they've certainly proved to be a better team in the 2nd half than the 1st. If Felipe had been there they wouldn't be laughing. Lets see how it goes for them. Martin has proved to be a much more trustworthy fella than Ron. All things considered... he's done a good job. They will never been the old McLaren though, never.
  2. Yea, just overconfident I guess
  3. Lewis Hamilton is the most successful driver ever...... (with the initials LH)
  4. I would have thought it was fairly obvious. McLaren like everyone else has sponsors to keep happy. So they emphasise their successes - at the beginning of the season they were developing KERS. Once they had done this they became the number one team. They could have said "wewl wecame forf - gimme fawty miwyon quid mate" as you would have. But then they would go broke.
  5. I think they really are just trying to get some glimmer of happiness from this season. They know they are gonna be fighting for the wc next year, and they know that they have a great driver in Lewis, the highest points scorer in the second half of the season. They need to get Nico in Heikki's seat and next year will be awesome.
